Nominations for the Golden Globes 2018 Are Out – Mariah Carey Makes the List!

The highly anticipated nominations for the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards were announced Monday morning, December 11th.  

Actresses Kristen Bell, Sharon Stone and others announce the official nominees from the famous Beverly Hilton in California.  

Superstar Mariah Carey and heartthrob Nick Jonas are among the nominees for 2018.  Mariah Carey is nominated for her song “The Star” from the new animated film, “The Star.”  

Mariah said, “Thank you so much to the #HFPA for the Golden Globe nomination for The Star. As songwriters, myself and my dear friend and collaborator Marc Shaiman are truly honored. What a humbling experience to be included in this group of amazing songwriters.

Nick Jonas is nominated for his work on the music and lyrics of the song, “Home” from the animated film, “Ferdinand.”  Nick took to Instagram this morning showing his excitement for the honor. 

He said, “AHHHHHH!!!! WE DID IT!!!! My song Home from FERDINAND is nominated for best original song at the Golden Globes! I am so humbled and blown away right now. I have no words. Thank you to the HFPA for this incredible honor, and to my family for being the inspiration for this song. Thank you Justin Tranter for writing this song with me and Nick Monson and John Powell for your brilliant productions of the Song.
