Freeform’s Beloved Comedy ‘Young & Hungry’ Coming Back for Farewell Season

Fan favorite comedy series, “Young & Hungry” is set to return to Freeform for its fifth and final season on Wednesday, June 20th at 8pm ET.

Emily Osment who plays Gabi took to Instagram thanking all her loyal fans who have stuck by her and the show through the last five years.

She said, “Yesterday we officially closed the book on 71 episodes of hilarity, pure joy and absolute insanity. I’ve never fallen in love with comedy like this before and nothing makes me happier than to know we were able to make so many of you laugh these past five years. I thought working on a television show during my teenage years was hard…no no my friends, your early twenties are terrifying and I’m so very lucky I got to come to work every day and be surrounded by family who got me through it. Thank you David Holden, thank you Young & Hungry, you changed my life. We’ll be back June 20th for our final ten episodes on Freeform. On to the next! 👸🏼🍔❤️”

In season 5, fans get to finally see Gabi and Josh happy and in love.  They will be navigating their way through life as an official couple.  Meanwhile, the rest of Josh’s staff, Yolanda and Elliot are adjusting to changes in their work life with Gabi being the woman of the house.

Get ready for big news!  This is not the end of Young & Hungry though.

Freeform has already started developing a “Young & Hungry” movie that will further develop the adventures of Gabi, Josh, and their friends.

In Emily Osment news, there is no slowing down for her in 2018.  It was recently announced that she will be starring in a new CBS comedy, 25.  Emily will play Kate, a 20-something Austin resident opposite Matt Shively who will play Kyle, Kate’s best friend.  Kyle shows up to Kate’s place out of the blue to profess his love for her.  One issue.  She is already engaged.

Emily is excited about the new pilot coming up! She captioned the Instagram photo, “Not getting a lot of sleep in 2018!! YAHOO! Peace out, pilot season!
